Pandan’s Tugbong Festival joins TUMANDOK 2005

September 12, 2005 – Pandan’s Tugbong Festival joins the TUMANDOK Exhibit on September 12-17, 2005 at Robinson’s Place Iloilo organized by the Iloilo Provincial Tourism Office and the Institute of HRM and Tourism of Central Philippine University (CPU). The event aims to raise awareness and emphasize the strong tourism potential of the cities and municipalities of Panay including Guimaras through entertaining and vibrant festivals.

Tumandok 2005 bring together the most exotic, colorful and pompous festivals of Panay like the Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo, Bantayan Festival of Guimbal and Tampisaw Festival of Concepcion among others.

Other activities includes Festival Queen Talent Competition, techno demos of hablon weaving, raprap bag making, wood sculpture and bobbin making, live performances of festival excerpts and the Festival Queen Pageant Night.

Tugbong Festival’s participation is made possible through the efforts of a group of CPU Tourism students composed of Bernice Aisa Pechon, Carrin Daquiado, Chiqui Diaz, Earnest Joseph Agudo and Kirby Cahilog.
